Guidepost Inc. is a Delaware corporation based in Newark, DE. We provide a productivity assistant that helps managers lead more effectively by analyzing communication and workflow data and, when enabled, interacting with team members or stakeholders on the manager’s behalf to follow up on tasks and surface status updates.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect and process the following types of information:

  • Account Info: Name, email address, and company information you provide

  • Usage Data: Interactions with our Service, including timestamps and feature usage

  • Integration Data: Content from services you connect (e.g., Slack and email), such as message content, metadata, and calendar events

  • Payment Info: Billing and subscription information via our payment processor, Stripe

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and improve the Service

  • Surface action items, team updates, and meeting preparation support

  • Send onboarding, product, and billing emails

  • Enforce our Terms and prevent abuse

  • Communicate with your team members or stakeholders on your behalf, when explicitly authorized, to follow up on tasks, collect updates, or prepare for meetings

4. Acting on Your Behalf

If you enable Guidepost to interact with your team or stakeholders (e.g., by connecting Slack or email), you are authorizing us to send messages or requests on your behalf. You remain in control of when and how Guidepost communicates, and you may revoke access at any time. We do not send messages without explicit connection to your account and prior authorization.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only as needed with trusted third-party processors that help us provide the Service:

  • OpenAI – for natural language processing. We have a signed Data Processing Agreement (DPA) in place, and your data is not used to train OpenAI models.

  • Amazon Web Services – for infrastructure and secure data storage

  • Stripe – for payment processing

  • Other subprocessors – only as required, and subject to appropriate safeguards

We may also share data if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using industry-standard encryption and access controls. We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations.

7. GDPR and International Users

If you are located in the EU, UK, or other jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to:

  • Access or export your data

  • Request correction or deletion

  • Object to certain types of processing
